Explicit scope-cut list
requires: t4-p1-03
Spec
Write down every feature you are tempted to build, then explicitly cross out everything not required to test your core hypothesis. Keep the list - you are graded on what you cut, not only on what you built.
Why this matters
Graded on the cuts, deliberately. Scoping is a skill that is invisible in the finished product, so the discarded list is the only evidence it happened at all.

# t4-p1-04 — Explicit scope-cut list
**Task:** Write down every feature you are tempted to build, then explicitly cross out everything not required to test your core hypothesis. Keep the list - you are graded on what you cut, not only on what you built.
**Strong:** Directly answers every one of the review questions below in the affirmative, with specific evidence from the actual work, not a restatement of the task.
- Is anything genuinely painful cut, or only things never seriously wanted?
**Passing but weak:** The deliverable exists and technically satisfies the spec, but is generic, restates the task instructions instead of engaging with them, or only partially addresses the review questions below.
**Fails:** The deliverable is missing, or engages with none of the review questions below - e.g. it describes what was built without explaining the reasoning the task actually asks for.
